Prevents penetration of water vapor from the interior into the roof structure.Vapor - proof foil made of LDPE reinforced with a reinforcing grille. It is designed to create a vapor-proof layer on the interior side of the roof sheath and effectively prevents penetration of water vapor from the interior into the roof structure. When properly installed, it protects the thermal insulation against moisture and thus prevents its effectiveness, while keeping the timber elements dry.Vapor barriers are intended for indoor use only. They are placed between the thermal insulation and the room's interior. They are laid horizontally or vertically on the inside of the rafters, or other roof structure, close to the applied thermal insulation. The film can be considered thermal insulation on both sides. They are attached either by staples of mechanical stapler, or by galvanized or aluminum nails. Every spike should be sealed. Careful bonding of the individual vapor barrier strips is ensured by using a suitable adhesive tape and eliminating any holes in them. These need to be tightened using appropriate compression straps to all structures (windows, walls and so on). The vapor barrier must not be disturbed either by electricity or water. The film must not be exposed to UV radiation and weather conditions for a long time.
