The Chives plant is an aromatic bulbous perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. Originally from China and India, it has spread throughout the Mediterranean area. It has fine leaves with star-shaped white flowers. In the kitchen: it is used as an aromatic plant to flavor salads, meat, fish, eggs and sauces. Harvest: The leaves can be harvested from early spring. Conservation: collect the longest stems and collect them in small bunches.
